    Executive assessment report template for retained search

    An executive assessment report is the document a retained search firm delivers on a finalist: an executive summary, the consultant's overall rating and recommendation, competency ratings with evidence from the interviews, a career overview and a working-style profile. The consultant supplies the ratings and the notes; the report lays them out in the firm's format. This template does that in Word, with the competency bars drawn from the 1-to-5 scores the consultant enters, and Formatix fills the career sections from the CV.

    The assessment is the consultant's. What takes the time is the document: the same eight sections in the same order for every finalist, the rating bars, the charts, the firm's fonts. This template holds the structure, so the consultant writes the judgement and the report builds itself around it.

    How you use it

    Not a download. This is not a file to download. Formatix builds the template in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and fills it from a CV or from the notes you supply. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file you can send as it is or change in Office.

    Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept.     Questions about this template

    What sections does an executive assessment report have?
    A cover block with the role, client, consultant and date; readiness, overall rating and recommendation; an executive summary; a career overview; competency ratings with evidence for each competency; a working-style profile; and, if the firm uses them, psychometric results and references. This template carries all of them.
    Where do the ratings come from?
    From the consultant. You enter a 1-to-5 score and the evidence for each competency; the template draws the score as a bar. Formatix never generates or infers a rating.
    Can psychometric results be included?
    Yes, as results the firm already holds, from Hogan, SHL, Saville Wave or another instrument. They are laid into the report and charted in your house style. Formatix does not administer, score or interpret assessments. See the psychometric report integration page.
    Can the report use our own format rather than this one?
    Yes. Upload a finished assessment report you have already sent and Formatix turns it into a template with the same fonts, colours and layout. This library template is the starting point for firms without one.
    Is it editable?
    Yes. The output is a Word document. Change any wording in Word before it goes to the client, or save it as a locked PDF.
    How is it priced?
    One credit per report. Every new account has 10 free credits; plans start at £20 a month for 20 credits.
