Executive search · UAE and GCC buyer's guide

Best CV formatting software for executive search firms in the UAE (2026)

Updated 9 October 2026 · Written by the Formatix AI team, London

Search firms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi run mandates across the GCC: a CEO for a Saudi developer, a CFO for an Abu Dhabi family group, a country head for a bank in the DIFC. Candidates and clients come from dozens of countries, some documents are needed in English and Arabic, and onshore clients have Emiratisation targets to meet.

We compared the tools UAE search firms ask us about, from search CRMs with built-in reporting to presentation software. We make Formatix AI; for the rest we used what each vendor publishes and said where it is stronger.

If your firm runs its searches in Ezekia or Invenias, start with the reporting built into that CRM. If you want branded CVs with open tracking from Bullhorn, Vincere or JobAdder, look at HireAra. If you also send assessment reports, board papers, shortlist decks with Excel trackers or succession packs in your own template, Formatix AI is built for that.

    1. Formatix AI

Best for: UAE search firms that send boards and owners more than a CV

Formatix AI, based in London, writes the documents a GCC search is judged on into the template your firm already sends. It reads CVs in more than 40 languages, including Arabic.

It does not assess candidates or interpret psychometrics, and is not affiliated with any test publisher. Data is processed in the UK and EU under GDPR and never used to train AI models; check that against the regime your entity falls under, onshore PDPL, DIFC or ADGM.

    • Assessment reports in your layout, carrying Hogan, SHL, Saville Wave or DISC results your consultants already have.
    • Board and CEO reports, and blind profiles for confidential searches.
    • Shortlist decks with a matching Excel tracker built from your own tracker template, including columns such as nationality and notice period.
    • Succession packs, 9-box grids, longlists and market maps.
    • Arabic CVs read into your template. If you need Arabic-language output laid out right to left, ask Formatix and test a sample first.
    • Browser, email, API, JobAdder, and ChatGPT or Claude via MCP; no Ezekia or Invenias connector is listed, so check with Formatix.

Less suited to: firms that want reports generated inside their search CRM without exporting data (Ezekia and Invenias do that), or that want a supplier with an office in the region.

    2. Ezekia

Best for: search firms that want CRM, BD and client reports in one place

Ezekia is a London-based CRM, ATS and business development platform built for executive search. Its candidate reporting produces reports in Word, PDF, PowerPoint or Excel directly from the search data in the system, alongside a client portal and an AI assistant. InterSearch Middle East, whose first UAE office opened in 1998, has a testimonial on Ezekia's site recommending it.

Ezekia prices per user, billed monthly with no annual commitment, by quote, and offers a 30-day free trial with onboarding support and no card.

Less suited to: firms committed to another CRM, since its reports draw on data held in Ezekia; it also does not describe laying psychometric results into assessment reports.

    3. Invenias by Bullhorn

Best for: GCC search teams that already manage assignments in Invenias

Invenias is the executive search platform in Bullhorn's product family for confidential assignments and longlists. According to Bullhorn's customer blog, its new Document Editor builds client-ready reports in Word from what consultants have already recorded, using more than 80 merge tags and the firm's branding.

The first report type, the candidate assignment report, is available now. Progress reports and research reports for market mapping are listed for later releases. Pricing is not published.

Less suited to: firms outside Invenias, decks and trackers in PowerPoint and Excel, and teams that need report types still in development.

    4. HireAra

Best for: recruitment desks that want branded CVs and open tracking from their ATS

HireAra, owned by The Access Group, turns CVs into branded profiles and builds executive one-pagers, spec CVs, client cover sheets and candidate websites with video introductions. Each is shared as a trackable link, so a consultant in Dubai can see when a client in Riyadh has opened it.

It connects to Bullhorn, Vincere, JobAdder, Salesforce, Mercury and others. Starter is £180 a month plus VAT for unlimited users and 1,500 candidates a year. Its site does not list supported languages, so ask how it handles Arabic CVs and Arabic output.

Less suited to: assessment reports, board papers, shortlist decks and succession packs, which are not among its published templates.

    • Your firm runs searches in Ezekia and wants reports straight from the CRM: Ezekia's candidate reporting.
    • You are on Invenias: try its Document Editor before adding another tool.
    • You want branded CVs with open tracking from Bullhorn, Vincere or JobAdder: HireAra.
    • Owners and boards in the region receive assessment reports, nomination papers, shortlist decks with trackers or succession packs from you: Formatix AI.
    • First work out which regime covers your entity, the federal PDPL onshore or the DIFC or ADGM rules in those free zones, then ask each vendor about data location and transfers.

What is the best CV formatting software for executive search firms in Dubai?

If you run Ezekia or Invenias, start with their built-in candidate reports. For branded CVs with open tracking, HireAra. For assessment reports, board papers, blind profiles, shortlist decks or succession packs in your own Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF template, Formatix AI.

Can CV formatting tools handle Arabic CVs?

Formatix AI reads CVs in more than 40 languages, including Arabic, and writes them into your template. We did not find right-to-left Arabic output described on the vendor pages we checked, so if clients receive Arabic documents, test a real Arabic template with each vendor first.

Which data protection law applies to CVs we handle in the UAE?

It depends where your firm is established. Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data is the federal law; the DIFC has its own Data Protection Law (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020) and ADGM has its Data Protection Regulations 2021. Ask each vendor where CVs are processed and how transfers out of the UAE are handled under your regime. Formatix AI processes data in the UK and EU under GDPR, so any use from the UAE is a transfer abroad; it does not train AI models on that data. This is not legal advice.

Can a shortlist show nationality for a client's Emiratisation targets?

Under a UAE Cabinet decision, private companies with 50 or more employees must raise Emiratisation of skilled jobs by 2 per cent a year, so many clients want nationality visible on a shortlist. With Formatix AI the shortlist deck and Excel tracker follow your own templates, so they can carry the fields you and your client agree.

Can our Hogan or SHL results go into a branded assessment report for a GCC client?

Yes. Formatix AI lays the psychometric results your firm already holds, such as Hogan, SHL, Saville Wave or DISC, into your own assessment report with interview notes and charts. It does not administer, score or interpret them, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by their publishers.

How much does CV formatting software cost in the UAE?

Formatix AI costs from AED 92 a month for 20 credits, charged in UAE dirhams at checkout, and you can try it with 10 free credits (valid 14 days, no card). HireAra Starter is listed at £180 a month plus VAT. Ezekia quotes per user, monthly, after a 30-day free trial. Bullhorn does not publish Invenias pricing. HireAra's price is in sterling, not dirhams.

Facts about other vendors were checked on their own websites on 9 October 2026 and may have changed since. References to UAE, DIFC and ADGM law are for orientation, not legal advice.
