About this tool
This free tool splits a bulk CV book, a job board export or any multi-candidate PDF into one file per candidate. Tell it which pages belong together, such as 1-3; 4-6; 7-8, or to start a new file every N pages, and you get a zip with one PDF each. It can also keep or remove a page range. No login, no upload.

When recruiters need this
A client sends a CV book from a previous search; a job board exports forty applications as one document; an internal team forwards a pack you need to register candidate by candidate. Each CV has to become its own file before it can go into the ATS against the right person.
Finding the page groups
Open the PDF in your viewer and note the page where each new name appears at the top. Write the groups down in order, such as 1-2; 3-5; 6-7; 8-10, and paste them into the pages box. If every CV has the same length, the every-N-pages option does it in one step. Each file in the zip is numbered in order, so it is easy to match against your list of candidates.
Worth knowing
- It does not detect where one CV ends and the next begins. You give the page groups. Page numbers are shown when you drop the file to help.
- Pages outside the document are ignored rather than refused.
- Password-protected PDFs need unlocking first.
Questions recruiters ask
- How do I split a PDF into one file per candidate?
- Choose "One PDF per candidate" and type the page groups separated by semicolons, for example 1-2; 3-5; 6-7. Each group becomes its own PDF inside one zip.
- Every CV in the book is two pages. Is there a shortcut?
- Yes. Choose "A new PDF every N pages" and set it to 2.
- Can it find the candidates automatically?
- No. It splits where you tell it to. CVs vary too much in length and layout for a reliable guess.
- Is the PDF uploaded?
- No. It is split in your browser and the zip is built there.
- Can I just remove a few pages instead?
- Yes. Choose "Remove these pages", type the page numbers, and you get one PDF without them. "Keep only these pages" does the opposite.
