Security-cleared candidate profile template
A security-cleared candidate profile presents a candidate to a defence, security, policing or government client with their clearances first. This Word template shows the name, headline and highest clearance stated; a clearance record with every clearance held (BPSS, CTC, SC, eDV, DV or NPPV levels) and its sponsor, grant date, expiry and status, only as stated; ticks for the levels held; nationality and UK residency as stated; a clear notice that clearance details must be verified with the sponsor; then a profile, relevant programmes described at an unclassified level only, career history and skills; and a box listing the clearance facts still needed. Formatix fills it from the CV and your notes and never infers a clearance from a past role or employer.
For cleared roles, the clearance is the first thing a client checks and the easiest thing to overstate. This profile records each clearance exactly as the documents give it, says plainly that the details must be verified with the sponsor, and lists what is missing. "Eligible for SC" or "willing to undergo SC" is never shown as a clearance.

Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.
Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates
Questions about this template
- Will it infer a clearance from a past role?
- No. Only clearances the CV or your notes say the person holds or held are listed. A clearance is never inferred from a role, an employer, a site, a defence or government customer, or a phrase such as "worked on classified projects".
- Are expiry dates calculated?
- No. Sponsor, grant date and expiry appear only as stated. An expiry is never worked out from a grant date, and a clearance is never assumed to be active.
- Does Formatix verify the clearance?
- No. The profile records clearances as stated and carries a notice that the details must be verified with the sponsor before the candidate is put forward or starts work.
- How are programmes described?
- Only with unclassified detail the CV already gives. No operational, technical or locational detail is added, and the footer states that the profile contains no classified information.
