Government Digital and Data role CV template

A Government Digital and Data role CV maps a consultant's experience to the UK Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework, the way a buyer reads a proposal for a digital, data or technology role. This Word template sets out the framework role (role family, role and role level, and how the role was chosen); security clearance, location, availability and years in digital and data, as stated; a profile; every framework skill for that level with the level the framework expects and the candidate's evidence from the CV; the career history; certifications and education; and a Still needed list. A skill with no evidence in the CV is shown as "Evidence not stated", never invented. It runs to two pages at most per person. The role, level and skill names come from the framework, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0; it is a Formatix template, not an official form.

Public sector buyers increasingly ask for CVs that speak the framework's language. Mapping a CV to a role level by hand means looking up every skill and finding the evidence for each. This template lists the skills the framework sets for the level and puts the CV's evidence beside each one, and it leaves a gap visible rather than filling it with general wording.

The filled document appears beside the original for checking. Edit anything in place, then download the Word file, or save it as PDF.

Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.

Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates

    Questions about this template

How is the role level chosen?
From the role and level your notes say the person is proposed for. If the notes do not say, the template uses the level whose name matches the person's current job title and says so. If no level clearly matches, the framework section is left empty and goes on the Still needed list. A higher level than the job title supports is never chosen.
Is the level an assessment of the person?
No. The level shown for each skill is the level the framework expects for the role, not a judgement of the candidate. The evidence column shows what the CV says the person did.
What if the CV has no evidence for a skill?
The cell reads "Evidence not stated" and the skill goes on the Still needed list. Generic wording is never written in its place, and unrelated work is never stretched to fit.
Is this an official government form?
No. The role, level and skill names are from the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework (Open Government Licence v3.0). The template carries no government branding, and its footer says it is a Formatix template, not an official form.
