Interim executive profile template
An interim executive profile presents an interim, fractional or contract executive to a client, so it leads with what an interim client asks first: when the candidate can start, on what terms, and what they delivered on comparable assignments. This two-page Word template puts availability, notice, mobility, engagement type and day rate in a band at the top, then up to four interim assignments, each with the client's brief, the measured results and a headline impact figure, followed by the executive summary, the career history, areas of expertise, qualifications and the consultant's view. Formatix fills it from the CV; availability, terms and the view come only from the consultant's notes.
A permanent-hire profile buries the answer an interim client needs. The client has a gap to fill, often within days, and wants to know who is free, what they cost and whether they have done this before. This template answers those three questions on the first page and keeps the permanent career behind the assignments.

Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.
Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates
Questions about this template
- What does an interim executive profile show first?
- Availability, notice period, base location and mobility, engagement type and day rate, in a band at the top of page one, followed by the key interim assignments. The executive summary, career history, expertise, sectors, education and certifications follow.
- Where do the availability and day rate come from?
- From your notes only. Formatix never takes "available immediately" from the CV on its own, never estimates a day rate and never turns a salary into one. With no notes, those fields are left empty.
- How are interim assignments told apart from permanent roles?
- An assignment is only listed as interim when the CV or your notes describe it as an interim, fixed-term, contract or fractional engagement. Permanent roles go in the career history. Each assignment shows the client, the brief, two or three measured results and one headline figure, such as working capital released.
- Can a confidential client be left unnamed?
- Yes. When the CV or your notes mark a client as confidential, the assignment describes it generically, for example as a PE-backed logistics group.
- Is this a download?
- No. The template is built in your brand inside Formatix and filled from the CV and your notes; what you download is the finished profile as a Word document or PDF.
