CV template with a photo header
A CV with a photo header opens with a band across the top of the page holding the candidate's photo, name, headline and key facts, with the rest of the CV in a single column below. In this Word template the band runs edge to edge in a light tint of your brand colour; the photo comes from the candidate's own CV, and when the CV has none the candidate's initials sit in a disc instead. Below the band: profile, key skills, career history with the dates and place beside each role, education, certifications, languages and interests. Formatix fills it from the CV in your agency's brand.
In much of Europe and for client-facing roles a photo is expected, and a CV that puts it at the top looks complete. This layout gives the photo room without crowding the career, and it still works for markets where photos are not used.

What's in the template
A CV that opens with a large tinted header band across the page: the candidate's photo (initials when the CV has none), name, headline, location and notice, then profile, key skills, career history, education, certifications, languages and interests in one column.
- Full-width header band: photo or initials, name, headline, key facts
- Profile and key skills as chips
- Career history with dates and place beside each role
- Education, certifications and languages side by side; interests
What it's for: Markets and roles where clients expect a photo on the CV.
WordDelivered as an editable Word file, or saved as PDF.
Who uses it
Agencies in markets that expect photos
Germany, the Netherlands, the Nordics, the Gulf and much of Europe.

Client-facing roles where the person matters as much as the job titles.

Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.
Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates
Questions about this template
- Where does the photo come from?
- From the candidate's own CV. Formatix lifts the photo from the file you upload; it never searches for one. If the CV has no photo, the header shows the candidate's initials.
- Can I use it without photos?
- Yes. Without a photo the initials disc takes its place, so the band still looks finished. You can also ask for the photo slot to be removed.
- What is in the header band?
- The photo or initials, the name, a one-line headline, location and notice period as stated, and the consultant presenting the candidate when your notes give one.
- How long is the CV?
- One page for a typical CV; a long career runs onto a second page in the same single column.
- Will it use my brand colours?
- Yes. Formatix takes your logo, colours and fonts from your website or brand kit and rebuilds the layout around them; you check a sample before the first CV.
- Can I download this template?
- Yes. A free, editable Word version with neutral branding and three fictional example candidates is on this page, to fill in by hand. To have it rebuilt in your brand and written automatically from CVs, use it in Formatix; what you keep is an editable Word file.
