    Minimal one-page CV template

A minimal CV uses type, rules and white space instead of colour blocks, and fits on one page. In this Word template the name, headline and location sit at the top; then every section is one row of a ruled grid, with a small label on the left (profile, experience, earlier career, education, skills, languages) and the content on the right. The limits are built in, at most four roles with up to three achievements each, so the CV stays on one page however long the original is. Formatix shortens and fills it from the CV, never adding anything the CV does not say.

Some clients want the shortest possible read and some firms want nothing on the page but the facts. A strict one-page CV with clean type answers both, and prints well in black and white.

Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.

Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates

    Questions about this template

How does it stay on one page?
The template keeps the most recent four roles with up to three achievements for the latest and two for the others, and folds older roles into a single earlier-career line. Formatix shortens; it never invents.
    Is there any colour?
Only your accent colour on the dates and your fonts and logo. There are no shaded panels or bands.
What happens to a long career?
Older roles go into the earlier-career line with their dates, so the client still sees the whole path.
Is it the same as the blind profile?
No. This CV shows the candidate's name. For an anonymised one-pager, use the blind profile.
    Can I download this template?
Yes. A free, editable Word version with neutral branding and three fictional example candidates is on this page, to fill in by hand. To have it rebuilt in your brand and written automatically from CVs, use it in Formatix; what you keep is an editable Word file.
