CV cover page template for candidate presentations
A CV cover page is the page an agency puts in front of a candidate's CV when it presents them to a client: who the candidate is, the role and client they are put forward for, the consultant presenting them and the date. This Word template gives every candidate their own cover with the photo or initials, name and headline, those details, the consultant's short reason for presenting them (only from your notes) and a numbered contents list; the CV follows with matching numbered sections: profile, key skills, career history, education and qualifications. Formatix fills it from the CV and your notes in your brand.
A cover sheet turns a CV into a presentation: the client sees at once which role it is for and who to call. Most agencies make it by hand in a separate document. Here it is part of the template, filled from your notes, so cover and CV always match.
10 free credits, no card needed. One credit fills one document.
An editable file with neutral branding and a fictional example candidate, to fill in by hand. Formatix fills it automatically from a CV.

Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.
Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates
Questions about this template
- What is on the cover page?
- The photo or initials, name and headline, the role and client the candidate is put forward for, who is presenting them with contact details, the date, the reason for presenting them when your notes give one, and a numbered contents list.
- Where do the role, client and date come from?
- From your notes. Formatix never guesses them from the CV; anything your notes leave out simply does not appear on the cover.
- Does the contents list stay in step with the CV?
- Yes. Sections are numbered as the template fills, so a section the CV has no content for drops out of both the contents and the CV without a gap in the numbers.
- How is it different from the shortlist report?
- The shortlist report has one cover and summary for a whole shortlist. This template gives each candidate their own cover and full CV.
- Can I download this template?
- Yes. A free, editable Word version with neutral branding and three fictional example candidates is on this page, to fill in by hand. To have it rebuilt in your brand and written automatically from CVs, use it in Formatix; what you keep is an editable Word file.
