Candidate marketing profile template (MPC)
A candidate marketing profile, also called a spec CV or MPC (most placeable candidate) profile, is a one-page teaser an agency sends to clients who have no live vacancy, to introduce a strong candidate and win a meeting. This Word template makes the role the title, shows the candidate by name or, when your notes ask, by a reference only with employers described generically, and sets out availability, location and terms only as stated, a short summary, numbered highlights, key skills, qualifications, a career snapshot, your note and a call to action with your contact details. Formatix writes it from the CV and your notes.
Marketing a candidate works when the client can see the value in thirty seconds and knows who to call. A full CV is too much and too identifying; this one page is built to be read quickly and answered.
10 free credits, no card needed. One credit fills one document.
An editable file with neutral branding and a fictional example candidate, to fill in by hand. Formatix fills it automatically from a CV.

How to write a candidate marketing profile
What to include
- The role and sector as the title, not the candidate's name.
- Availability, location and what the candidate is open to, only as they told you.
- Three to five highlights with the CV's own figures.
- A short career snapshot: titles, the type of employer and the years.
- One line from you on why this candidate, and how to arrange an introduction.
Named or anonymous?
| Named | Anonymous | |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Shown | "Confidential candidate" and a reference |
| Employers | As written | Described by type and size |
| When to use | The candidate agreed to be marketed by name | The candidate is employed or senior |

Drop a CV or your notes

Check and send
The filled document appears beside the original for checking. Edit anything in place, then download the Word, PowerPoint or Excel file, or save it as PDF.
Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.
Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates
Questions about this template
- Can the candidate stay anonymous?
- Yes. When your notes ask for an anonymous profile, the name is replaced by "Confidential candidate" and your reference, employers are described by type and size, and identifying details are left out.
- Will it fill in availability or salary?
- Only what the CV or your notes state. Availability is never inferred, a salary or package is never estimated, and relocation appears only if the candidate said so.
- Why is the role the title?
- Because the client is buying a capability first. The role line answers what this person could do for them before they read anything else.
- Does it always fit one page?
- Yes. The highlights, skills and career snapshot have fixed limits so the profile stays on a single page.
- Can I download this template?
- Yes. A free, editable Word version with neutral branding and three fictional example candidates, one of them anonymous, is on this page, to fill in by hand. To have it rebuilt in your brand and written automatically from CVs, use it in Formatix; what you keep is an editable Word file.
