Airside pass background check file template
Before an airside pass application goes to an airport ID centre, the sponsor has to pull together references, certificates and training. This Word template is that file: airport and pass type, identity and right to work, the declared history beside the dates each referee gave, gaps, UK and overseas criminal record certificates, accreditation check and GSAT. Requirements differ between airports, so follow the guidelines of the airport issuing the pass. Formatix fills the file from your documents. Reference dates come only from the reference, and convictions are never judged. It is a Formatix template, not an official form.
Published airport guidelines ask for referee dates that are not pre-filled, so this file keeps declared dates and referee dates in separate columns. A period with no reference stays visibly empty.

Download or automate? The free download is a plain file you fill in by hand. In Formatix the template is rebuilt in your brand, with your logo, colours and fonts taken from your website, and filled from a CV or your notes in about a minute. What you keep is the finished document: an editable Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.
Ask for changes in plain words, such as "move the photo to the right" or "add a Languages section", and the template is updated with the rest of its formatting kept. If you already have a document you send clients, upload that instead and Formatix turns it into a template. How Studio builds templates
Questions about this template
- Is a five-year history always required?
- Check with the airport issuing the pass. Published guidelines from several UK airports ask for five years of references, and some roles landside are shorter. The CAA separately requires overseas certificates where someone lived abroad for 6 months or more in the preceding 5 years.
- Does Formatix decide if a conviction disqualifies someone?
- No. It never judges a conviction. The CAA publishes the disqualifying list in CAP 2159, and the employer and pass issuer make that decision.
- Can it fill the reference dates from the CV?
- No. They come only from the reference. Published airport guidance says dates are completed by the referee.
- Does it submit to the airport?
- No. It prepares your file. You submit through the airport's own process.
