What goes in SF330 Section E?

Section E of the SF330, Architect-Engineer Qualifications, is the resume of each key person proposed for the contract, one Section E per person. Blocks 12 to 19 ask for the name, role in this contract, years of experience in total and with the current firm, firm name and location, education, current professional registration, other professional qualifications, and up to five relevant projects, each with title and location, year completed, a brief description, the person's specific role and whether it was performed with the current firm.

No card needed. Trial credits are valid for 14 days; plans start at £20 a month.

    Where the form comes from

The SF330 is the standard form federal agencies use to evaluate architect-engineer firms. FAR 36.702(b) says the SF 330 shall be used to evaluate firms before awarding a contract: Part I for a specific contract, Part II for a firm's or branch office's general qualifications. The current edition is SF 330 (Rev. 7/2021), prescribed by FAR 53.236-2(b) and published on GSA's forms library (gsa.gov, Architect-Engineer Qualifications). This page describes that edition; use the form and any agency instructions in the notice you are answering.

    Section E, block by block

    • Block 12, name.
    • Block 13, role in this contract.
    • Block 14, years of experience: 14a total, 14b with the current firm (not necessarily the same branch office).
    • Block 15, firm name and location (city and state). The firm must be one of the firms listed in Section C.
    • Block 16, education: degree and specialization, the highest relevant academic degree or degrees.
    • Block 17, current professional registration: state and discipline.
    • Block 18, other professional qualifications, such as education, professional registration, publications, organizational memberships, certifications, training, awards and foreign language capabilities.
    • Block 19, relevant projects, rows a to e: title and location; year completed, for professional services and for construction if applicable; a brief description (scope, size, cost) and the person's specific role; and a box to check if the project was performed with the current firm.

    Rules worth knowing

    • Complete one Section E for each key person who will participate in the contract, grouped by firm, with the prime contractor's or joint venture partners' personnel first.
    • List up to five projects in which the person had a significant role. If a project is not complete, leave the year completed blank and give its status in the description.
    • Agencies may supplement the instructions and may limit the number of projects or pages in Part I, so read the notice before you start.
    • For comparison, Section F asks for example projects for the team, ten unless the agency specifies otherwise.

Filling Section E for a whole team

The work is turning each person's resume into the block structure and choosing the five projects that best match the agency's work. Formatix AI's SF330 Section E template follows blocks 12 to 19; upload each resume with a note of the person's role in this contract and the projects to lead with, and Formatix fills one Section E per person as an editable Word file, for your team to check. It places only what the resume and your note contain.
