What CV format do public-sector frameworks want?

In the UK, the main frameworks for consultancy and digital work do not set a CV format themselves. The Government Commercial Agency's agreement pages for G-Cloud 15, the Management Consultancy Framework Four and Digital Outcomes and Specialists 7 do not mention CVs; where CVs are needed, each buyer sets the format, length and assessment criteria in its call-off. So use the format in the buyer's documents, and present each consultant against the buyer's stated skills and roles.

No card needed. Trial credits are valid for 14 days; plans start at £20 a month.

The frameworks, as of October 2026

    • Crown Commercial Service became the Government Commercial Agency (GCA) on 1 April 2026.
    • G-Cloud 15 (RM1557.15) has replaced G-Cloud 14; GCA lists it from 6 August 2026.
    • Management Consultancy Framework Four (MCF4, RM6309) runs from 29 July 2025 to 28 July 2027.
    • Digital Outcomes and Specialists 7 (DOS7, RM1043.9) is an open framework from 30 January 2026; GCA's page for Digital Specialists and Programmes (RM6263) says it has expired and points new tenders to DOS7.
    • Technology Services 4 (RM6190) covers the same range of services as Technology Services 3.

    Where CV requirements come from

The CV requirement, if there is one, is in the buyer's call-off documents: the specification, the questions and the assessment criteria. On DOS7, buyers set their own specification and assessment criteria. Expect anything from a two-page CV per named consultant against listed skills, to a table of roles and short profiles, to no CVs at all at the first stage.

Outside the UK, some EU calls for tenders ask for CVs in the European (Europass) format. Again, the tender documents decide.

Answering a buyer's CV requirement, or using your standard format

    • Use the buyer's template if one is issued, unaltered; if not, reformat employee CVs into your standard format so the team reads as one.
    • Match each consultant's role title to the buyer's role names and your pricing schedule.
    • Lead with the skills and experience the assessment criteria name, using the buyer's terms.
    • Keep to the page limit, and make sure engagements shared by several consultants are described the same way.

    Doing it with Formatix

Formatix AI takes the buyer's format, or its own consultant framework CV template, and fills it from each consultant's existing CV in about thirty seconds, using your note per person for the role and the skills to lead with. It places only what the CV and your note contain. New accounts get 10 free credits, valid for 14 days, with no card; paid plans start at £20 a month.
