CV formatting with Recruit CRM
Recruit CRM CV formatting in your own template
Recruit CRM's resume formatting settings let admins create header, footer, cover-letter and watermark templates that are applied to a candidate's CV, with redaction by keyword. Formatix rebuilds the whole CV in your firm's own Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF template, so every candidate's document has the same structure whatever layout they sent. There is no Formatix connector for Recruit CRM yet, so you format in Formatix and attach the document to the candidate in Recruit CRM.
Recruit CRM users typically look for this when a branded header and footer are not enough and the client expects every CV in one consistent layout.
No card needed. 10 free credits on sign-up, valid for 14 days; one credit formats one CV.
What Recruit CRM does natively
Recruit CRM's help centre describes Resume Formatting settings where admins create header templates (logo, candidate and recruiter details, background and title colours, on the cover page, every page or both), footer templates, HTML cover-letter templates and watermark templates with text, logo and opacity. These are applied to the candidate's CV, which can also be redacted by keyword or highlighter. Recruit CRM lists the feature on its Business plan and above.

Where Formatix fits
Formatix fits when the content of the CV has to be laid out your way: it reads the candidate's CV, structures the employment history, achievements, education and skills, and places them into a template built from your own Word or PowerPoint file, the same way for every candidate.
It can also leave out names and contact details for anonymised CVs, and fill a shortlist deck or tracker from the same CVs.
- Your own Word, PowerPoint or Excel file is the template: upload the profile, deck or tracker you already send clients and Formatix builds a reusable template from it, keeping your fonts, colours, layout and logo.
- Starts from any raw CV: PDF, Word, RTF, text, scans and photos (OCR) and LinkedIn PDF exports, in more than 40 languages.
- Output in Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF, so the document stays editable when a consultant needs to adjust it.
- Anonymised CVs and blind profiles from the same CV, with names, contact details and other identifying fields left out.
- Shortlist decks (one slide per candidate) and Excel trackers filled from the same batch of CVs as the individual profiles.
- Every formatted document is shown beside the original CV for checking before it goes to a client.
How to use Formatix with Recruit CRM
- 1
Build your template once
Sign up and upload the Word, PowerPoint or Excel document your firm already sends clients. Formatix turns it into a reusable template and shows you a sample filled from a real CV to approve.
- 2
Format the CV
Take the CV from the candidate record in Recruit CRM and drop it into the Formatix platform (one or a batch), email it to [email protected], or ask ChatGPT or Claude to format it with your template through the Formatix connector.
- 3
Attach the result in Recruit CRM
Check the formatted document beside the original, then attach the Word, PowerPoint or PDF file to the candidate record in Recruit CRM or send it to the client.
There is no Formatix connector for Recruit CRM today, so the two are used side by side: Recruit CRM stays your system of record and Formatix produces the client document. A Recruit CRM connector is built on request: tell us your firm uses Recruit CRM.
Firms with their own developers can also call the Formatix REST API (webhooks on the Agency plan and above) to format CVs from their own workflow.
Each formatted CV uses one credit. New accounts get 10 free credits on sign-up (no card, valid for 14 days); plans start at £20 a month for 20 credits. From ChatGPT or Claude, Formatix is free for 5 CVs a month when the assistant reads the CV itself (confirmed company email, no card).
Frequently asked questions
- How do I format CVs in Recruit CRM?
- Recruit CRM's help centre describes header, footer, cover-letter and watermark templates that admins create in Resume Formatting settings and apply to a candidate's CV (Business plan and above). To have the whole CV rebuilt in your own Word or PowerPoint layout, use Formatix and attach the result to the candidate.
- Does Formatix integrate with Recruit CRM?
- Not directly yet. There is no Formatix connector for Recruit CRM today; a connector is built on request. Until then, download the CV from Recruit CRM, format it on the Formatix platform, by email to [email protected] or from ChatGPT or Claude, and attach the formatted file back to the record in Recruit CRM.
- Can Formatix produce anonymised CVs for Recruit CRM submissions?
- Yes. Formatix can leave out the candidate's name, contact details and other identifying fields when it fills your template, so you get a blind CV in your house style to attach to the submission.
- How much does Formatix cost for a firm using Recruit CRM?
- The same as for anyone else: Each formatted CV uses one credit. New accounts get 10 free credits on sign-up (no card, valid for 14 days); plans start at £20 a month for 20 credits. From ChatGPT or Claude, Formatix is free for 5 CVs a month when the assistant reads the CV itself (confirmed company email, no card). There is no separate fee for using Formatix alongside Recruit CRM.
