Executive search · Shortlist presentation
How do you turn a batch of CVs into a branded shortlist deck and Excel tracker?
Upload the batch of CVs with your notes and choose your shortlist template. Formatix builds one slide per candidate in your own PowerPoint design and fills your Excel tracker from the same batch, one row per candidate, so the deck and the tracker always agree.
No card needed. Trial credits are valid for 14 days; plans start at £20 a month.
The progress meeting problem
The shortlist deck is what the client sees at the progress meeting, and the tracker is what both sides work from afterwards. They are built from the same CVs and notes, but usually by hand and separately: a slide per candidate copied together in PowerPoint, then the same names, current roles, locations and notes typed again into Excel.
When a candidate's status changes the night before the meeting, both have to be updated, and they drift apart.
How it works
- Upload the candidates' CVs, in any layout and any of 40+ languages, with your notes on each.
- Formatix fills your shortlist template with one slide per candidate in your own PowerPoint design. The template defines the criteria and the fields; the slide is filled from the CV and your notes.
- The same batch fills your Excel tracker, one row per candidate, so the two documents always say the same thing.
- For a longer longlist, run it in several batches.
- Both files are editable before they go to the client.
In your design, not ours
The deck and tracker are built from templates your firm already uses, so they keep your fonts, colours and layout. Convert your tracker into a template once and every batch fills it.

Frequently asked questions
- Can we get an Excel tracker as well as the deck?
- Yes. Convert your tracker into a template once and each batch fills it with one row per candidate, from the same CVs and notes as the deck.
- Does it work with our own PowerPoint design?
- Yes. Formatix builds the template from a deck your firm already sends and keeps its layout, fonts and colours.
- How many candidates can go in one deck?
- A typical shortlist goes in one batch. For a longer longlist, run it in several batches.
- Can we try it before paying?
- Yes. New accounts get 10 free credits with no card, valid for 14 days. Paid plans start at £20 a month.
