How anonymisation works

   Choose what to remove

   Start from the blind profile template, or tell Formatix which details your blind format leaves out: name, photo, contact details, address, date of birth, gender, nationality, employer and university names.

   Upload the CVs

   One CV or a whole shortlist, in any layout or language. Each is read and rewritten into the anonymised template, with a candidate reference instead of a name.

   Check and share

   Each anonymised profile opens beside the original for checking, then downloads as an editable Word file or a PDF.

What details can be removed?

Name, photo, contact details, address, date of birth, gender, nationality, and employer and university names, which can be replaced by a description of the organisation. Dates and job titles stay so the career still reads.

Is this redaction or anonymisation?

Anonymisation. Instead of hiding parts of the original, Formatix writes a new document without the identifying details. That is more reliable than redaction and reads better.

Can I link an anonymised profile back to the candidate?

Yes. The blind profile carries your candidate reference, so you can match it to the full profile when the client wants to proceed.

Does it work for a whole shortlist?

Yes. Upload the shortlist as a batch and each CV becomes an anonymised profile, with an anonymised deck and tracker from the same batch if you want them.

Is anonymised data still personal data under GDPR?

Often it is, because the agency can re-identify the candidate from the reference. Treat blind profiles as personal data in your processes; the benefit is that the client sees less.
