CV formatting with Atlas
Atlas CV formatting in your own Word and PowerPoint template
Atlas writes candidate reports in Atlas templates, branded with your logo and font, and exports them as PDF or a single-page website. If your firm's client deliverable is a Word document or PowerPoint deck you designed yourself, Formatix uses that file as the template: it reads any raw CV and fills your own design in Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF. There is no Formatix connector for Atlas, so you format the CV in Formatix and attach the result to the candidate in Atlas.
This page is for Atlas users who search for a way to put candidates into the firm's existing CV or report template rather than a new one: the house-style Word profile, the PowerPoint shortlist the partners already like, or a client's own format.
No card needed. 10 free credits on sign-up, valid for 14 days; one credit formats one CV.
What Atlas does natively
Atlas's Report Co-pilot drafts candidate reports with AI from interview notes, emails, calls and CV data. Reports are built on Atlas templates that carry the agency's branding (company icon, banner, logo, font and report footer) and are exported to PDF or published as a single-page website; Client View presents a branded longlist that is shared by link or downloaded as a PDF. Atlas describes its templates as rewriting themselves around the candidate rather than leaving placeholder text to delete.
In its own guide to candidate summary templates, Atlas says it is best for "agency and executive search teams sending client-ready candidate reports at volume" and "not a great fit for ... agencies committed to building every deliverable in a separate design tool". The Atlas pages we read describe PDF and web output; they do not mention Word or PowerPoint export.

Where Formatix fits
Formatix is built for the second group Atlas describes: firms whose CVs, profiles and shortlist decks are designed in Word or PowerPoint and must leave the firm looking exactly like that. Instead of rebuilding the design in another tool, you upload the finished document and it becomes the template.
Atlas remains where the search is run and the candidate notes live; Formatix produces the client document from the CV (and, if you want, from your notes), in the file type the client expects.
- Your own Word, PowerPoint or Excel file is the template: upload the profile, deck or tracker you already send clients and Formatix builds a reusable template from it, keeping your fonts, colours, layout and logo.
- Starts from any raw CV: PDF, Word, RTF, text, scans and photos (OCR) and LinkedIn PDF exports, in more than 40 languages.
- Output in Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF, so the document stays editable when a consultant needs to adjust it.
- Anonymised CVs and blind profiles from the same CV, with names, contact details and other identifying fields left out.
- Shortlist decks (one slide per candidate) and Excel trackers filled from the same batch of CVs as the individual profiles.
- Every formatted document is shown beside the original CV for checking before it goes to a client.
How to use Formatix with Atlas
- 1
Build your template once
Sign up and upload the Word, PowerPoint or Excel document your firm already sends clients. Formatix turns it into a reusable template and shows you a sample filled from a real CV to approve.
- 2
Format the CV
Take the CV from the candidate record in Atlas and drop it into the Formatix platform (one or a batch), email it to [email protected], or ask ChatGPT or Claude to format it with your template through the Formatix connector.
- 3
Attach the result in Atlas
Check the formatted document beside the original, then attach the Word, PowerPoint or PDF file to the candidate record in Atlas or send it to the client.
There is no Formatix connector for Atlas today, so the two are used side by side: Atlas stays your system of record and Formatix produces the client document. A Atlas connector is built on request: tell us your firm uses Atlas.
Firms with their own developers can also call the Formatix REST API (webhooks on the Agency plan and above) to format CVs from their own workflow.
Each formatted CV uses one credit. New accounts get 10 free credits on sign-up (no card, valid for 14 days); plans start at £20 a month for 20 credits. From ChatGPT or Claude, Formatix is free for 5 CVs a month when the assistant reads the CV itself (confirmed company email, no card).
Frequently asked questions
- Can Atlas export candidate reports to Word or PowerPoint?
- The Atlas pages we read (19 October 2026) describe exporting reports to PDF or publishing them as a single-page website; they do not mention Word or PowerPoint export. Check with Atlas for the current position. Formatix outputs Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF in your own template.
- Can I format CVs in our own template if we use Atlas?
- Yes. Upload the Word or PowerPoint document your firm already sends clients to Formatix; it becomes a reusable template. Format any CV from Atlas with it, then attach the result to the candidate in Atlas.
- Does Formatix integrate with Atlas?
- Not directly yet. There is no Formatix connector for Atlas today; a connector is built on request. Until then, download the CV from Atlas, format it on the Formatix platform, by email to [email protected] or from ChatGPT or Claude, and attach the formatted file back to the record in Atlas.
- How much does Formatix cost for a firm using Atlas?
- The same as for anyone else: Each formatted CV uses one credit. New accounts get 10 free credits on sign-up (no card, valid for 14 days); plans start at £20 a month for 20 credits. From ChatGPT or Claude, Formatix is free for 5 CVs a month when the assistant reads the CV itself (confirmed company email, no card). There is no separate fee for using Formatix alongside Atlas.
