Executive search · Board and CEO appointments

How do you create a board or CEO candidate report from a CV and interview notes?

Start from your firm's board report template, then lay the CV and your interview notes into it: career summary from the CV, your view of the candidate from your notes. Formatix does that assembly, producing a full board candidate report or a one-page executive profile in your own Word, PowerPoint or PDF layout. The view of the candidate stays the consultant's, in the consultant's words.

No card needed. Trial credits are valid for 14 days; plans start at £20 a month.

    What the board actually reads

At board level the candidate document is read by a chair, a nominations committee or an investor, often on a tablet and often in a few minutes. It has to carry the career at a glance, the scope of each role, the consultant's assessment against the brief and, for the shortlist, a clear comparison. Most firms keep two formats: a one-page profile for the committee pack and a fuller report for the chair.

Building both by hand from a three-page CV and a page of interview notes is slow, and keeping several consultants' reports consistent on one mandate is slower.

    How it works

    • Upload the candidate's CV, in any layout and any of 40+ languages, with your interview notes.
    • Formatix fills your board report template: the career history and roles from the CV, the assessment and recommendation from your notes.
    • Run the same inputs through your one-page template and you have the committee version as well, saying the same thing in less space.
    • For a confidential search, a blind template with no field for name, contact details or photo gives you an anonymised version from the same upload.
    • Output is editable Word or PowerPoint for final edits, or PDF, in your fonts, colours and layout.

    Judgement stays with the consultant

Formatix doesn't form a view of the candidate. Everything the committee reads about fit, risk and recommendation comes from your notes. It handles the document so the consultant's time goes on the assessment, and every report on the mandate looks as if one hand wrote it.

    Frequently asked questions

Can we get a one-page profile and a full report from the same inputs?
Yes. Keep two templates, a one-page profile and a full report, and run the same CV and notes through each. Both come out in your layout and say the same thing.
    Does Formatix write the recommendation?
No. The recommendation and the view of the candidate come from your interview notes, in your words. Formatix places them in your template alongside the career history from the CV.
Which formats can the committee pack be in?
Editable Word or PowerPoint, or PDF.
Can we try it on a real mandate?
Yes. New accounts get 10 free credits with no card, valid for 14 days. Paid plans start at £20 a month.
